sqlDESKTOPserver

sqlDESKTOPserver is a server database for the network multi user version of sqlDESKTOP. sqlDESKTOPserver is designed for non IT professional. Installation is easy, everything is bundled into a single installation file. You don't have to install a database engine, launch a script file to create a database etc..

sqlDESKTOPserver use a DERBY - CLOUDSCAPE database to store data. Up to 20 users can connect to sqlDESKTOPserver. sqlDESKTOPserver is free, you have only to pay for sqlDESKTOP license.

Once launched, sqlDESKTOPserver shows the following dialog box:

You have just to select where you want to store the database, to store the transaction log, to store back up and the database is ready. Just click to run, click to back up etc..

To connect to the server report the values displayed in red in sqlDESKTOP log on screen.

To improve the protection of your data against lost, your data files (Word, Excel etc...files) are stored into a directory of your desktop and into the database on server.
